About Collaborative Controls LLC
Collaborative Controls provides control consultation services to process industries.
Our services include investigation of product quality issues, evaluation of operations and control problems, design of control improvements, and tuning of process controls to improve process operability and product quality.
Over the past 10 or 20 years, most of the process control engineers who designed, started up, and optimized the processing units throughout the world have retired from the industry. Collaborative Controls LLC formed to fill this void by offering process control services. Our goal is to collaborate with the plant’s engineers, such that this new generation of engineers learn control troubleshooting and tuning methodology.
Process Control engineers
Collaborative Controls performs process control engineering as opposed to control system engineering. We look at the process, process interactions, the design of the control schemes, the control tuning, and the operator graphics. Your control system vendor should provide services to keep the control processors and network running.
Our goal is to improve process plant operations, and to leave the site with wiser engineers. This wisdom is developed through a shared experience in performing a control evaluation and improvement project.
Our hope is to develop a trusting relationship with the site, so that we (our engineers and your engineers) recognize control problems, can understand what introduced these problems, and have ideas on how to resolve the issues.
